Proactol versus Xenical

If you've looked for a weight loss supplement that can offer successful, sustained weight loss, you may think it's impossible, particularly as there are numerous weight loss pills on the market, many of which have no medical backing.

We want to give you the knowledge to enable you to distinguish the real deal from all those imposters out there. We can help you find the right supplement for your personal lifestyle.  How?  We have compared all the top weight loss pills on the market, including natural alternatives. In our opinion, these are two of the best: Proactol and Xenical.

How does Xenical work?

Available in the UK, France and Canada by prescription only, Xenical’s active ingredient is called Orlistat.  It works by:

    * Making 30% of your daily fat intake indigestible.
    * Lowering blood cholesterol
    * Reducing your blood pressure

Studies (e.g. XENDOS) have found that extensive clinical trials show that consumers have successfully lost as much as 10% or more of their body weight, when used for up to a year.

Since both these products are globally recognised natural fat binders, Proactol and Xenical seem very similar at first glance.

Both offer a consistent weight loss of a steady 1-2lbs a week, and both have the added bonus of numerous other health benefits including lower blood cholesterol and increased energy. There really is little to choose between them.

However, on closer investigation into these supplements, we noticed one crucial difference between the two: Xenical’s negative side effects. Can we balance Xenical success stories with its unfortunate side effects?

Xenical is proven to reduce a user's fat consumption by 2% more than Proactol can. At first glance this seems to give Xenical the edge, but this added effectiveness does come at a cost.

According to the XENDOS study, 91% of consumers who experienced successful weight loss with Xenical also suffered at least one of the side effects detailed above. This is a very worrying statistic, especially when you consider the nature of these side effects.

Oily spotting, hypocalcaemia, chest infections and highly embarrassing uncontrollable flatulence. These symptoms are uncomfortable, painful and can restrict the lifestyle of users. In addition, there is no way to know when these symptoms will abate.

Studies have proven that users who follow a diet containing 15g of fat per meal or less will experience minimal side effects. But accounting for every gram of fat has to be both stressful and a lot of hard work.

So although Xenical is highly effective,  it is a supplement that must be used with extreme caution.

Xenical or Proactol – which is the best choice?

As natural fat binders, these two supplements offer comparable results. But when you consider their side effects, they are poles apart.

Proactol is 100% free of side effects, has no usage restrictions yet still offers reliable results. You can confidently choose Proactol and use it for as long as you need to, safe in the knowledge that your body is receiving only positive benefits.

Proactol doesn't even have a shelf life. In fact, it is designed specifically to help you lose excess pounds, and to maintain your successful weight loss.

Proactol really is the perfect choice if you have struggled to maintain sustained weight loss in the past.

We don't deny the many benefits of Xenical.  We accept that it is highly beneficial to the body. Studies of Xenical have shown that over a year, up to 50% of subjects lost up to 5% of their body weight, whilst up to 20% experienced a weight loss of over 10% their initial body mass.

But bear in mind that Xenical is a supplement that comes with restrictions.

Xenical is available by prescription only, to users with a BMI of over 30. In addition, if Xenical users lose less than 5% of their body weight in 12 weeks, doctors recommend that they discontinue use.

Furthermore, users are advised to restrict their daily fat intake to less than 30%.

What is Proactol?

proactolProactol is 100% natural, certified organic and derived from the cactus Optunia ficus-indica.

Proactol is clinically proven to:

  • Make 28% of your daily fat consumption indigestible

  • Lower blood cholesterol levels

  • Suppress your appetite

  • Decrease food cravings

  • Reduce your calorie intake by up to 450 calories per day

  • Improve joint flexibility and help aches and pains

In addition, Proactol has no known side effects, no added fillers, allergens or preservatives.  This makes it the ideal natural alternative to weight loss surgery or conventional pills.

Author's note

At some instances, weight loss pills can't be used to treat severe obesity conditions as it all truly depends on your body's ability to react. Please refer to your personal doctor when in doubt. The best way to lose weight is still by exercising regularly and maintaining a good, healthy way of eating and dieting. Stay safe, and stay healthy.
